OK. So I’m about ready to feel the steel, old school and full blown. Time to start packing on more mass, while also making a video that should appeal to the average “Joe,” bodybuilder out there who likes to keep it real simple.
But make no mistake. This isn’t about throwing the weights around haphazardly, and if you watch carefully you”ll notice that I’m not using huge amounts of weight. The weight is just enough to let me execute correct form on every rep.
Todd Swinney once again serves up outstanding narration, making sure that everybody gets what’s going on, what to do, what not do, and why. Guys, Todd is the real deal. He has been working with me forever, and I encourage you to continue seeking out his advice.
Straight bar curls, alternating dumbell curls – well, this is what builds mass, and we all know it. But it won’t do you a bit of good if you do it wrong. Listen to what Todd’s saying, watch what I’m doing, and relearn the correct way to execute these simple, timeless moves better than you did before.
Try the isolating spider curls on the 90 degree side of the preacher bench. It’s a killer finishing move once the biceps are fried. You might have seen people do this in the gym – now it’s your turn, now you know why you’re doing it. And if you’ve done it before, now is time to do it better. Never stop perfecting your fundamentals. That’s the way of the champion.
