I remember training with David Dearth at Costa’s Gym on Jones Road in Houston, back in the early 80’s when we were both up and coming top amateurs. David was very strong and hardworking, loved to have fun, just full of life. We would always crack each other up in the gym, but we would push each other to train harder. This picture was taken one afternoon in 1984 just outside the gym, after a workout. This photo was originally posted by David’s Mom and sent to me by Mark Costa the former owner of the gym. I always remember David as being a good friend and we had a great deal of respect for each other. Some of you may not remember David, and I would encourage you to Google him and brush up on your bodybuilding history. David passed away on August 5th. I will miss David. He was a true iron warrior and great IFBB Pro champion. #bodybuilding #ifbbproleague #leelabrada
