again, if you sip a carb/protein drink during training, the cortisol thing is irrelevant, cortisol goes up when blood glucose crashes which won't be an issue iwth proper training nutrition.
as well, the small hormonal spikes that occur in training are likely to be pretty damn irrelevant in the first place
